Nashville, TN (October 18)- Local Nashville performing songwriter Kyle Samuel Brooks will be releasing his debut album Finding Joy, Vol. 1 on Thursday, November 1, 2018. In conjunction with the album launch, he will be appearing on DIY network's popular TV show Tiny House Big Living, where he will perform "I Love My Life" from the new album.
“When my wife Sadie said she wanted to open a mobile tiny house coffee shop, I wondered how this would fit into my goals as a performing songwriter. We quickly realized we could combine her coffee shop dream with our shared dream of performing positive music, taking our business AND our music on the road!”
The album was recorded at Cub Creek Sound by Mark Elliott, a thirty year music industry professional, who has written hit songs for such artists as Chris LeDoux and Neal McCoy.
"Mark did a great job capturing my vision for the project," Brooks explains. "He hand picked top session musicians who could musically travel off-the-beaten path from the traditional Nashville radio sound."
Each of the seven original songs were solely written by Brooks. Themes explore taking a leap of faith and the journey of relationships, from finding love to helping it grow.
"As we recorded this record, I heard my songs come to life beyond my imagination," says Brooks. "I cannot wait to share this music with friends, fans and first time listeners. Throughout my life, music has always brought renewed hope to my heart that everything will work out. My hope now is that my music can do the same for others, helping them to rekindle the fire of possibility and take a leap of faith toward their dreams.”
The instrumentation is an earthy meld of guitars and stringed instruments, rootsy percussion, bright horns and rich background vocals.
The Tiny House Big Living episode featuring Kyle will premiere on November 1, 8:00 p.m. CST, with additional airings on November 2, 8 and 9. Check local listings for air times.

ABOUT TINY HOUSE, BIG LIVING
There's a trend in U.S. housing, albeit a very small one. Drawn to the prospect of financial freedom, a simpler lifestyle, and limiting one's environmental footprint, more buyers are opting to downsize -- in many cases, to spaces no larger than 500 square feet. "Tiny House, Big Living" celebrates this movement, spotlighting the small-dwelling dreams-turned-reality for couples, families and singles across the country. They either take on the builds themselves or hire contractors who cater to unique personalities by creating custom furniture and layouts. Either way, viewers follow the adventures through the construction process until the minihomes are complete.
